DETAILED plans for the relocation of Evesham Football Club from Common Road to Cheltenham Road received approval from town councillors on Monday.
Councillor David Alesbury who seconded the proposal by councillor Maggie Stephenson said: "I hope they get a move on."
No-one at the meeting spoke against the plans which are not expected to be considered by Wychavon District Council until mid September to allow for public consultation.
Two previous outline applications have been supported by town councillors.
One was in January 2000 for a change of use from agricultural land to sports ground and other leisure use and the second an amendment to relocate the Club on March 2001.
