THE FATHER of Catrin Edwards from Honeybourne who is battling against leukaemia, is going to work in drag tomorrow to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital.
It's all part of the hospital's Glad Rag Day and Alun Edwards will be doing his own thing at Oxford University where he works.
He said: "We may be unbalanced but we are not sitting around moping. I have already had promises of £100 from colleagues and hope to raise much more. Every penny raised will be used to help fund vital life saving medical equipment for the 350,000 treated each year. "
He and his wife Sarah recently decided to withdraw Catrin's chemotherapy treatment.
Mr Roberts, whose 22-month old daughter was diagnosed about nine months ago said: "The doses were increasing in toxicity and Cati's ability to cope was seriously tested." He said future doses would increase the chances of killing his daughter outright with almost no chance of a cure.
"Although it is wretched we've decided to take Cati home for a few weeks or months," added Mr Edwards." You can sponsor him by e-mail at alun.edwards4
