CRICKET-mad youngsters are being offered the chance of summer coaching at Worcestershire's New Road ground.
A Summer School for boys and girls aged 7-14 is being held at New Road, Worcester on Thurday, August 8 and Friday, August 9, and is now looking for applicants.
The school has been organised by the Worcestershire Cricket Board in association with National League sponsors Norwich Union.
Coaching will be provided by Worcestershire star Stuart Lampitt, who is also the board's Cricket Development Officer, as well as two other qualified ECB coaches.
If the event is a success, it could be expanded next year to be held at several different venues.
Lampitt said: "It's a flagship event and this is the first time anything like this has been organised through the WCB, as part of a national programme.
"It will be an organised programme featuring things like skills challenges and games of cricket, and both girls and boys are welcome.
"We are looking for kids across the board to take part of all abilities, and hopefully it might be a springboard to something bigger and better in the future."
The cost for two days is £15, and the school is limited to 48 children on a first-come, first-served basis.
Coaching will be from 10am-4pm on both days.
