THERE was rush-hour chaos when a busy Kidderminster road was closed during a successful struggle to prevent a lorry shedding its load.
A Volvo articulated lorry belonging to A and P Transport, based in Middleton Road, was travelling towards Worcester when its load shifted, colliding with a lamp-post, near the Chester Road and Comberton Hill junction.
The road was closed between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday.
A police spokesman said: "The load was in a precipitous position. It had collided with a lamp-post and was leaning towards a house.
"But it was realigned using a crane, and lorry and driver went on their way."
