A KITTEN was rescued from a blaze which left a Kidderminster house heavily smoke-logged on Saturday.
Firefighters were called to a home in Almond Avenue at 11.40am after fire broke out in the dining room area of the lounge next to the kitchen.
The occupants, two adults and two children, were outside the house when firefighters arrived to put out the blaze, with the kitten being retrieved during the course of the operation.
The blaze left the dining room area fire-damaged, while there was minor smoke damage to the lounge area and the house was smoke-logged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
