NO doubt, many will accuse President Bush of isolationism as a result of his refusal to accept the International Criminal Court.
However, the people of Britain would do well to oppose this institution.
The court is almost certainly one of the first steps towards a global takeover.
It would take away the liberty of British citizens to be protected by our courts and governments and place them in the hands of a politically malleable undemocratic body.
The concept of "war crime" is very loose and open to manipulation.
It isn't hard to imagine former members of the armed services being extradited for "war crimes" committed in Northern Ireland and the Falklands.
It's reassuring that Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith has offered some support to the United State's stance.
