CHELTENHAM Library users are now able to experience wartime radio thanks to a new CD donated to the library.
Listens will be able to hear digitally remastered broadcasts from the British Forces Network between 1944 and 1949.
Colin Campbell, head of library services said, "It's an era that I can't recall myself so I am looking forward to listening to the CD."
The broadcasts contain allied propaganda material listened to by members of the British public, allied troops and even German civilians.
Rob Garnham, county councillor for Cheltenham Park, who donated the CD said, "I think this addition to the library stock will be of value to all."
