RESILIENT Victoria and Blakeley Hall continued their impressive turn in form with a good home win over high-flying Belbroughton in Worcestershire Saturday League Division Three.
They romped home by six wickets with 11 overs to spare thanks to an unbroken partnership between Kevin Amos (38 not out) and Paul Thomas (24 not out).
Victoria invited their visitors to bat and took an early wicket but then dropped an amazing three catches in the first 10 minutes.
But the bowlers stuck to their task and reduced the villagers to 181-9 off their 50 overs with all of them among the wickets.
G Day top scored for Belbroughton with 48 but then saw the home side off to a good start.
Captain David Mitchell's powerful 51 included four sixes as they reached a comfortable 115-1 before a mini collapse saw them slump to 125-4.
R Hawk took 3-49 but Amos and Thomas joined together to see Victoria home at 182-4 after Kelvin Barratt continued his good form with a stylish 39.

Victoria's seconds gained a losing draw at Belbroughton as they avoided defeat for the first time this season.
S Yardley scored 47 runs as Victoria survived after the home side had posted 266-3.
