PROMISING Hereford golfer Gregg Morgan continued his impressive run of form with a joint fourth finish in the Carad Trophy.
It was the Belmont youngster's best finish to date in a top class senior event and he shot a four round total of 287 for the Konica Wales Order of Merit competition.
The event comprised the Radyr Salver as well as the Cardiff Feathers.
At Radyr he finished joint fifth with 142 (72,70), four shots behind the winner, Nigel Edwards (Whitchurch), the Walker Cup player and last year's Order of Merit winner.
The following day Morgan fired a two-round total of 145 (73,72) five shots adrift of winner Stuart Manley (Mountain Ash).
This gave him a grand total of 287 for the Carad Trophy, four strokes behind winner Jonathan Holmes (Southerndown).
Meanwhile, Hagley's John Donoghue fired a 70 to win the Sapey US Masters green jacket competition, holding off the challenge of Jim Payne (Brockington) who finished two shots adrift.
