FORMER Three Counties Agricultural Society chief executive Chris Milne has been appointed co-ordinator of the Enigma Business Park Partnership.
Mr Milne left the Three Counties in January in controversial circumstances, with former showground general manager Tony Halls later accusing the society of forcing him out.
His new part-time post will see him represent around 40 firms on the Spring Lane estate to outside agencies on questions such as security, planning applications and street lighting.
Mr Milne will co-ordinate on issues that affect all the business park's employees, such as the undertaking of first aid training, as well as encouraging businesses to work together in areas where they are not competing.
Mr Milne said he was looking forward to the task ahead of him.
"I'm very pleased to do it," he said. "I wanted to get involved in Malvern and I'm delighted to do that. It's already proved its worth in many areas and there's a good future for the park."
Mr Milne's predecessor, Mark Glossop, said the purpose of the position was to make the park the best possible place to work, at the same time as making sure the businesses are good neighbours to residents that surround it - in short, an important role for the wellbeing of Malvern.
