A DISUSED public toilet with a built-in bus shelter could be sold off by Malvern Hills District Council (MHDC) in order to bring in more than £25,000.
MHDC officer Richard Allison will recommend the authority submits a planning application to change the use of the Malvern Wells Road building when its executive committee meets on Tuesday (July 16).
He estimates that if the council is successful in applying for planning permission, the building could then fetch more than £25,000 on the open market.
Toilets on the site, which is in Malvern Wells, have not been used for two years, although the council is still paying £1,000 a year to supply the building with electricity.
MHDC offered Malvern Wells Parish Council the chance to adopt the building but, after a survey found problems with the condition of timbers and sewers, the offer was rejected in May.
Mr Allison will lay three options before the committee. Firstly, that the building be demolished. Secondly, that it be sold to the householder living next to it and thirdly, that it be sold with planning permission.
