IS it only parents who appreciate the incalculable asset of Victoria Park skater's ramps and children's play area?
No, rather, it was a group of representatives who understood that a town of Malvern's civilised status should look after the needs of all its inhabitants.
Any person who stands and watches the young boys and girls who meet at the skate park will observe co-operative behaviour, taking turns, older boys helping younger children with their skills and a generally cheerful atmosphere.
What could replace this much-used and enjoyed facility?
An indoor purpose-built park I suggest, to competition standard with spectator facilities. No noise, no nuisance, a definite financial asset to the company provider and it would put Malvern on the international tourist map once more.
Young people have plenty of energy and disposable income. They would support the proposal. So should we! Until then, please leave them their skate park at Malvern Link.
