TWO workers from Malvern's Plum Tree Women's Project will be jumping from a plane in the skies over Nottingham next month to help raise money for the women's refuge.
Project manager Sharon Rolestone and project worker Sarita Sharma say that over the years they have raised tens of thousands of pounds to try and improve the standard of living for victims of domestic violence.
This time they are preparing to parachute 13,000 feet in a tandem jump on Friday, August 2 and are asking anyone who would like to make donations to the good cause to get in touch.
Sarita said: "We have not done anything like this before. We're always fundraising but nothing as drastic as this one. We're looking forward to it. We're excited and a little apprehensive. It will be a challenge of a lifetime.
"All the money we raise goes toward outings for the women and clothes, things to enhance their living and make their stay at the refuge more comfortable."
