IN reply to L Spiteri (You Say, July 4) Christ told us to love our neighbours as ourselves.
Surely our most immediate neighbours are our own English homeless and down-and-outs, rather than asylum seekers.
The Government doesn't have a bottomless pit of money to hand out largesse to all and sundry. There's an old saying - "put your own house in order first".
