MALVERN Ladies Football Club are recruiting players for an U11 team to play in the Mercian League next season.
Players must be aged 9 or 10 on August 31 this year to qualify and the club are looking for a good turn out at their first training session on Thursday (July 18) at Victoria Park, Malvern.
The girls will play seven-a-side in the league, which will also include teams from Pershore, Evesham and Worcester.
The venture is fully supported by Malvern Hills Council Sports Development Officer, Avril Irish and Football Development Officer Andy Norman.
Mr Norman said: "The Mercian League really needs a girls team representing the Malvern area. It's great that Malvern Ladies are to provide this opportunity for girls in the area and we now need as many players as possible to attend the training from next week and for parents to come forward and help with the organisation. Any ability will be welcome to attend the session and new players are welcome."
