FORMER Led Zeppelin star Robert Plant has become the patron of Kidderminster College's new independent record label.
Plant has also rejoined fellow band member of Priory of Brion, Kevyn Gammond, to encourage students to take part in the venture.
The pair have also donated one of their previously unreleased tracks to the label for the college compilation album due out at the end of the month.
Mr Gammond returned to Kidderminster College to run the music industry management course and manage the MAS record label.
Students who join the course will be responsible for developing new acts for the label.
"As patron of the college's record label, I am delighted about the new opportunities the project creates for upcoming musicians and others with a burning desire to work in the music industry," Mr Gammond said.
"The inclusion of the Priory of Brion track on the MAS label release will help raise the profile of our own artists, guarantee airplay and hopefully inspire those out there who eat, sleep and breathe music to get involved with the label."
