A FURRY addition has been made at West Midland Safari Park.
Hoppy the wallaby was born eight weeks ago, but was abandoned by her mother or became separated from her.
She is now being raised by deputy warden Angela Potter, and spends most of her time nestled in a furry hat which doubles as a surrogate pouch.
Head warden Bob Lawrence said many wallabies had been hand-reared at the park after being abandoned.
"We had to take her out of the group and hand-rear her on Carnation milk," he said.
"She is making good progress and will be re-united with the group in a few months."
