THERE was no lounging around for organisers of a Worcestershire village festival after a massive fund-raising effort.
The Fladbury Festival and Walkabout raised around £13,000 for the village church and school.
The village, near Evesham, opened up its gardens to the public last weekend and was host to an array of concerts.
The highlight of the weekend was an evening concert in St John the Baptist Church, on Saturday, July 13.
The money raised will go towards general repairs in the church and towards Fladbury CE First School.
"It was the most successful year we've ever had," said Andrew Parsloe, chairman of the festival and walkabout.
