A WORCESTER man denied murder and theft yesterday when he appeared before a judge at Worcester Crown Court.
Martin Rauwley, aged 38, of Willow Court, Stanley Road, denied killing 63-year-old Alexander Clark.
He also denied stealing coins and a compass from Mr Clark on Saturday, March 2 this year, and coins and a Royal Artillery cap badge from him two days later.
Mr Clark, of Sansome Fields House, Southfield Street, Worcester, died on March 4, the same day as the second theft allegation.
Judge Michael Mott remanded Rauwley in custody to face trial by jury.
The trial is likely to be in September and is scheduled to last a week.
