Sporting Memorabilia is the first ever large scale collectors fair dedicated entirely to sporting collectables and makes its debut at The NEC August 3 and 4.

And the Shuttle/Times and News has got five pairs of tickets to give away to the show on August 4 in an easy to enter competition.

You could pick up anything from a 1966 World Cup Final Programme or signed boxing gloves, to limited edition tennis print.

More than 500 dealers will be buying, selling and trading a vast range of collectables including players shirts, trading cards, posters, autographs and even medals.

With World Cup fever engulfing the country this summer, football will be kicking off this brand new show, with club mascots, look-alikes mingling with the crowds and a special exhibition of more than 100 original players shirts from many of the world's top footballers including Pele, David Beckham, Sir Stanley Matthews, Sir Geoff Hurst, Ronaldo, Keegan, Dalgleish and many more.

Celebrating England's win over Argentina in the World Cup, Corinthian will release special limited edition models of Rio Ferdinand in red England kit, plus there will be limited edition models of Gabriel Batistuta in blue Argentina kit to commemorate his last match for his country versus Sweden in the World Cup and Thierry Henry in Arsenal away kit season 2002/2003.

Sporting Memorabilia is a paradise for autograph hunters with more than 15 top sporting celebrities appearing during the weekend. There will be four members of England's World Cup winning side of 1966 in attendance - goal scorer Martin Peters, Alan Ball, Roger Hunt and George Cohen.

Plus fans will be able to meet 80s England star Kerry Dixon, local hero Wolves legend Steve Bull and stars of Aston Villa's 1982 European success, Gary Shaw and Dennis Mortimer, who will be signing "The Road to Rotterdam".

If you're a boxing fan, square up to current British Welterweight boxing champion Ricky Hatton - plus many more top names will be announced nearer the event.

Tickets for Sporting Memorabilia are available from The NEC box office on 0121 767 4555 or at www.necgroup.co.uk/boxoffice, priced £7 for adults and £5 for children (subject to a booking fee).

The fair is open from 11am until 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 5pm on Sunday. Early entry from 9am on Saturday is available at £10.

Plus you can buy a joint ticket for Sporting Memorabilia and Memorabilia - Europe's largest collectors' fairs for sci-fi, film, cult tv, pop and comic collectables, from The NEC box office priced £10.

Closing date: Friday, July 26, 2002.
