WITH reference to the naming of the "New" Severn Bridge, do you think that it would have been more appropriate to have named it "The Single Lane Carrington Bridge?"
I find it amazing that a man is honoured for instigating such a major misjudgement of traffic flow, not even allowing for a future expansion with the river bridge and railway bridge designed to allow an extra lane.
Did our forefathers not learn the mistake of the original M5 design when it was built with two lanes?
I expect the designer was knighted for his services to road building.
