PUPILS at Riverside School were enjoying a little bit of joi de vivre at a special French day.
The theme day was held to encourage modern foreign studies and celebrate Bastille Day.
Nine to 14-year-olds enjoyed activities including a game of boules before sampling French cuisine at a caf set up at the school called Rive Gauche.
"Everybody had to speak en Franaise," said Kali Crawford, deputy head at the school in Barbourne.
"The pupils came in fancy dress and we had an onion seller, waiters and chefs.
"We held it last Friday, the closest school day to Bastille Day on Sunday, July 14.
"The pupils had a lovely time. We held it last year and will be holding it every year from now on.
"We are very grateful to Caf Rouge in town who supplied us with lots of fromage and various other things."
