MALVERN Morris Minor enthusiast Jonathan Swift is preparing for his club's annual branch rally, due to be held at Toddington station.

The event is being staged in conjunction with the railway's nostalgia day, which is centred on Winchcombe station a few miles further down the line.

"For rally entrants there will be discounted travel on the railway, and guided tours of the signal box, engine shed and carriage and wagon shed can also be arranged," said Jonathan Swift of the Malvern Hills Branch of the Morris Minor Owners Club.

"All classic cars are welcome to enter the rally and indeed, we are expecting some non-Minors. There will be trade stands and an autojumble.

"The rally will be open at 10am and rally entrants are asked to arrived before 1pm."

The Malvern branch meets every second Tuesday of the month at The Farmers Arms, Kempsey Common, at 8pm.

Branch members own a wide range of Morris Minors, including a 1949 model which was the first of its kind in the area.
