TWO teachers at a Bromyard school will be leaving the classroom for the last time when term ends tomorrow.
Terry Rogers and Alan Greening who, between them, have clocked up 64 years teaching at Queen Elizabeth High School are to retire.
Mr Rogers joined the school in 1966 and has taught geography to generations of children in the town.
"His concern for the pupils and his love of his subject has been one of the foundations of the school over the years he has been here," said headteacher Patricia Jewkes.
"He's a very quiet and gentle man but when he gets into the classroom he assumes an air of authority never challenged by the pupils who enter the hallowed Room 7."
Mr Greening has been at the school since 1974 and has taught design technology.
"Alan's dry sense of humour will be sadly missed in the staff room, as will his ability to keep everything in proportion," said Mrs Jewkes."
Lloyd Clark, head of modern foreign languages, is leaving at the end of term.
"The staff and pupils will miss his wacky sense of humour and his ability to tell elaborate and amusing stories," said Mrs Jewkes.
