CAN anyone please tell me why the residents of South Street have to beg and plead to get their dustbins emptied?
The problem is illegal parking and parking on double yellow lines in Beaufort Street, which denies access to the refuse lorries.
Repeated attempts to have this stopped have had no result.
There is a road sign that states access only - i.e. residents and visitors and deliveries only.
Beaufort Street is the only way into South Street, which is a dead end, no through road.
You cannot get to Redi Centre, or Terry Spring Court via South Street by vehicle but the road signs do not make this clear.
Must we be overrun by rats before something is done?
