MORE surveys are to be carried out on run-down homes in Abbeydale before a decision on whether to demolish or repair them is made.
Last month, plans to demolish the prefabricated Redditch Council bungalows in Dolphin Road and redevelop the area were announced.
The move outraged residents who wanted to keep their homes and see them repaired and maintained instead.
The council assured residents a decision on the future of the homes would not be made without their full support and agreed to look at having them repaired instead.
The surveys will discover what is wrong with each property, what needs repairing and how much it would cost to do it.
English Heritage have been approached about the feasibility of having the buildings listed but they were not interested.
