A superb century from Ismail Dawood steered Herefordshire to an eight-wicket win over Shropshire in their Minor Counties Championship Western Division clash with Shropshire at Shifnal.
Dawood's unbeaten 148, his best score for the County, was scored off 163 balls with two sixes and 20 fours, and saw Herefordshire to a target of 271.
He figured in an unbroken third-wicket stand of 229 with Paul Lazenbury (78no).
Earlier Shropshire were dismissed for 231 in their second innings, Kevin Cooper (4-51) and Nick Davies (4-61) the chief destroyers. Marcus Marvell (71) and Bryan Jones (60) were the top scorers.
It was the first time in 10 Championship meetings that the fixture had produced a positive result.
