IT'S 2054 and the murder rate across the world has hit epidemic proportions.
To combat this, a pre-crime unit for Washington DC headed by John Anderson (Tom Cruise) has been set up.
Three psychic 'Precogs' see murders before they're committed, give the precrime cops time to stop the killings and arrest the offenders before they're committed, essentially arresting innocent people.
But hence the tagline - what would you do if you were accused of a murder you had not committed - results in Anderson himself in line for the halo, the new form of imprisonment for bad boys.
The only thing that can save him is a minority report stored within a Precog which is thought of as a duff dream and which has never happened before.
But can he prove it?
This is the latest film from Steven Spielberg and it's got all the gadgets and high-flying action you want, not to mention a good twist at the end.
Well worth a watch.
