Four star
YOU either like the voice of Dolly Parton or you don't and falling into the former category, I would recommend this latest album as a must for all country and western fans.
Halos and Horns features 14 varied tracks, 12 of which have been written by the unique and talented Ms Parton.
Her opening title track Halos and Horns sets the scene perfectly as Dolly sings about temptation before telling us about her happy memories of Sugar Hill in track two.
It wasn't long before I found myself engulfed in a wave of foot tapping and humming as Dolly took me through a torrent of emotional songs about love and life.
Dolly is probably best known for her made-up quite literally 'dolly-bird' looks but her distinctive, fantastic voice is the real asset which sets her apart from other singers.
Every track on this album is worth a listen and finishes off nicely with the classic tune from Robert Plant and Jimmy Page (of Led Zeppelin) Stairway to Heaven.
