BUDDING young actors are performing a futuristic tale with a splash of comedy to parents and friends at a Bromsgrove first school.
Around 70 youngsters from Charford First School, in Charford Road, made their debut performance, Space Oddity 2002 last night (Tuesday).
The play, based upon the story Blast Off, by Jim Parker and Tom Stanier, is, according to class teacher, Mel Henderson, the longest play they have performed.
He said: "The students have had a wonderful time acting and performing songs.
"It has been a good all-round team effort and a nice way to end for those who are leaving."
The play will also be performed at the school, at 7pm, tonight (Wednesday).
