DEFEAT plunged Astwood Bank CC back into the relegation zone at the weekend as a mini revival of two wins came to shuddering halt.
Put into bat on a tricky surface the Bank were skittled out for 53 in a display reminiscent of the 19 all out they suffered against Pedmore.
Alex Robinson's side were always going to have a tough time against league leaders Old Elizabethans but, as the only team to take points off them this season, fancied their chances of causing an upset.
And with second from bottom Hagley beating Chaddesley Corbett by six wickets, Bank sank into the bottom two, two points behind Hagley.
Bank entertain the league knockout winners (2pm start) looking to avenge defeat to them in the reverse fixture.
Pete Alexander is available and Steve Clarke could be in line for promotion from the seconds.
A win could take Bank into a mid-table, safe, position but with Bank only 15 points clear of basement boys Romsley and Hunnington, Robinson will know defeat could see his side hit rock bottom.
