COLOURFUL capers raised more than £12,000 for a Bromsgrove charity which helps cancer patients.
The Primrose Hospice and Cancer Help Centre, St Godwald's Road, Finstall, held a Go Yellow Week in June which has raised £12,500 so far, with money is still coming in.
Schools got involved when pupils paid to swap their uniforms for yellow attire.
A nursery created a giant yellow sunflower, another produced a yellow submarine and Primrose shops led the way by decorating their windows.
The Royal Ascot Ladies' Day, held at Grafton Manor, off Worcester Road, in Bromsgrove, was the highlight of the week and generated £3,500.
The centre's fundraising manager, Jane Wardman, said: "It was a fantastic week and we are delighted that more schools, businesses and pubs took part this year.
"We are very grateful to the many volunteers and supporters who have helped us and worked really hard to make this week a success."
"A lot of effort goes into organising a campaign of this size and at the end of the day, Go Yellow Week will have made a difference to our patients and those who care for them either at home or at the centre."
