NORTH Bromsgrove High School beat defending champions South Bromsgrove High School by 18 runs to win the U14s district cricket tournament.
In a closely contested final at Bromsgrove Cricket Club last Friday, North Bromsgrove posted 117 before dismissing their rivals for 99.
The two schools reached the final by seeing off Waseley Hills High School, in Rubery, and Droitwich Spa High School in the four-team event.
South Bromsgrove beat Waseley Hills by eight wickets while North Bromsgrove defeated Droitwich Spa by seven wickets.
In the losers final, Waseley Hills defeated Droitwich with a last over victory. Waseley's Adam Rodway scored 32 not out and took 5-15.
