PRESIDENT Pam Day welcomed members to the June meeting where everyone was treated to a glass of fruit punch to toast the Queen on her Golden Jubilee.
Members were thrilled to hear of the success for Kingfisher at the County Craft Day at Perdiswell with a first prize for the Institute's flower arrangement for the Golden Jubilee entered by Pam Day, who received the cup.
Speaker was member May Lloyd who demonstrated a range of delicious salads and other nibbles. Everyone had a taste of the different varieties.
Members were reminded of the lunch with Rita and Peter Jordan on July 15, tickets £3 each.
The competition was won by Evelyn Farquhar and flower of the month by Pam.
