A ST John's company is holding a raffle in a bid to raise £2,000 for a wheelchair-bound Worcester boy.
Midland Financial Consultants is raffling off some holidays to raise the cash for nine-year-old Robert Davison, who suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
The cash will pay for the conversion of the family car, and will also buy an aquarium to entertain Robert, who is fascinated by fish.
Mike James, managing director of the firm, said they thought of giving the money to Robert as his father Bill is one of their clients.
"I went to see Bill about some financial matters and met Robert and was quite taken with him," he said.
"He is a lovely boy and his family do everything they possibly can for him.
"We thought it would be a good idea if we could provide some help by raffling off the holidays."
Robert has suffered from both conditions since birth.
In 1999, his family made a public appeal to raise £22,000 for an extension to their house in Warboys Road, St John's, which needed to be altered to house Robert.
A £5,000 city council handout towards the cost was branded an "insult" at the time.
Dad Bill Davison said the whole family were very pleased with the news of the raffle.
He added that the fish tank would be a welcome addition to the house, as the colours would stimulate Robert and would be something he could be enjoy.
"We were quite humbled, and very pleased to hear the company was planning on helping us," he said.
"We have been raising money for a long time, and the more the merrier.
"There are many things which we need which are very expensive items, which unfortunately we cannot fund by ourselves.
The raffle is being held on Friday, August 2 at Midland Financial Consultants, St John's.
