RESIDENTS escaped serious injury when the kitchen of a Worcester home went up in flames.
Hereford and Worcester Fire Brigade was called to the house, in Stallard Road, at 7.34pm yesterday.
When they arrived, the fire had already been extinguished and fire crews ventilated the area.
A woman was treated at the scene by paramedics but was not taken to hospital.
"We received a call that there was a fire and there were people present, but when we arrived there were no injuries and the crew were stood down after they had checked the woman over," said a spokeswoman for Hereford and Worcester Ambulance Service.
