ON behalf of my family, I would like to thank the Pershore Carnival Committee for their dedication and hard work which has ensured a thoroughly enjoyable event from beginning to end.
My children really enjoyed taking part and walking in the procession, which had a wonderful community spirit. They also really enjoyed the presentation evening with skittles on Thursday evening and I thank all those involved very much indeed.
As secretary to the Striving Against Drugs Group, I was absolutely delighted when my family participation resulted in £80 being presented to this group as my chosen charity, along with £25 donated by PC Alan Tandy for the police participation. I cannot thank the people of Pershore enough for their kind contribution made on the day. I hope that Government red tape does not prevent volunteers organising further carnivals and that more people help out to keep this event going.
