HOCKEY: The goalkeeper production line at Stourport Hockey Club rolls on with the latest prodigy representing Midlands U-13s.
David Lewis joined a roll of honour that includes internationals Ian Taylor, Steve Taylor and current Wales number one Matt Simkin.
And, in following in the footsteps of other young Stourport stars Ben Taylor and Ian Evans, he is proving inspirational in putting aside a killer condition.
Lewis suffers from a potentially fatal allergic reaction to eating eggs and peanuts.
The Worcestershire U-14s regular impressed for the Midlands at a divisional tournament in Leeds where he pulled off a series of saves.
And Lewis will join four others for three days of intensive goalkeeper coaching at Loughborough later this month.
He said: "Stourport pay as much attention to the coaching of goalkeepers as the outfield players.
"They have helped me to buy the best kit and the coaching from players such as Steve Taylor is top class."
