TENNIS: The mixed doubles honours went to Martin Bradley and Sally Martyn Smith at Stourport Tennis Club's annual tournament.

David Ward was master of ceremonies for the event which was organised by Gareth Williams and Roger Houldsworth.

Meanwhile, Stourport's men's C team have almost certainly clinched promotion for the fourth league programme in a row.

They were promoted in the last two winters and are now set to do the same in the summer under the captaincy of Nick Mantle.

There have been just seven players for the six regular places and they have won five of their six matches.

Stourport have already won matches against Wall Heath and Manor Park though they still need to be completed.

And they are assured of a winning draw against main rivals Hartlebury with one match left.

The Ladies Bs suffered heavy defeats against Boughton Park and Belbroughton A though Rosie Williams and Helen Bradley did win one match against the latter.

They drew 3-3 at Bewdley as Hilary Kilby with newcomer Lesley Styles won twice and R Williams with Bradley took one match.

The mixed As are unbeaten in five matches this season after beating Wollaston 3-1.

Martin Bradley and Rhian Robinson had two superb wins, while Hilary Hatt and Steve Newbury won one of their matches.
