BUDDING mathematicians have come up trumps in a national competition.
Twenty children from Stourport's Windmill Middle School entered the National Mathematical Challenge to compete with thousands of other youngsters.
The group scooped two gold, one silver and four bronze awards. Greg Smith, 12, was top of the class.
Mike Harwood, head of mathematics, said: "I'm very pleased. We never had more than a bronze before two years ago."
