A SECOND BODY has been pulled from the Avon in Evesham in the space of just over two weeks.
Sixty-six-year old Roger Hall, from Sally Close, Wickhamford was recovered from the River Avon last Friday at Chadbury.
Evesham station officer Steve Fellows said: "We were called by police at about 4.05pm last Friday (July 12) after a body was spotted floating in the river.
"We launched a boat from Fladbury Lock up to Wood Norton and recovered the casualty from the river. He was pronounced dead at the scene."
On Thursday June 27, the body of 43-year-old Brian Morris from Redditch was found by boaters at Hampton Ferry.
"The change in the weather has seen more and more people go for walks by the river, we would just like to warn people to take care when walking along river banks."
An inquest into Mr Hall's death was opened at County Hall in Worcester on Monday (July 15).
Coroner Victor Round said that Mr Hall's body was found in the river at Chadbury Lock.
He said that a postmortem by pathologist Dr Geoffrey Smith gave the cause of death as drowning.
