MALVERN Rugby Club are inviting former 'Stags' to return to Spring Lane as senior players.
Invitations have gone out to all the club's former youth players, giving details of a development venture to provide all U18s in the district the chance to progress.
Former 'Stags', who have now graduated to senior status, will be contacted by first-team skipper Vince Hill inviting the youngsters to take part in pre-season training under new coach Andy Cushing.
"Being closely associated with the former members of the 'Stags' squad since they were 11 years old, I do hope that they will consider playing for Malvern as senior players," said Gary Tolley, the chairman of youth rugby.
Earlier this month, the Malvern club put together an improved infrastructure that offers all U18 and U19 players a chance to play just below National League level.
They can also bid to link-up with more seasoned ex-first teamers, who will be competing in a new regional merit league involving sides from neighbouring clubs.
Training for all senior players is now in full swing at Spring Lane on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
