June was a busy month for the society, with visits to the royal gardens at Highgrove and Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, both in the same week.
On June 23, seven country gardens were opened around the parish. These attracted more than 300 visitors, including a coach party from Leicestershire, and the event raised £2,100 for the National Gardens Scheme.
On July 3 the club visited former member Kay Haslam, at her home, Luggars Hall, Broadway, where members spent the evening among the newly-recreated flower beds between mature yew hedges.
These gardens are regularly opened for the National Gardens Scheme. The club's annual show will be on August 3, from 3pm, in Astley Village Hall.
Members can collect schedules from Robin Saunders - telephone 01299 825728 - to enter by July 29.
