A SORCERER will bring waxwork characters to life in Bromyard as part of the Three Choirs Fringe Festival.
The Worcester Gilbert and Sullivan Society will be staging a play based on favourite tunes from the pair's popular operettas.
Wicked Waxworks includes songs adapted from the likes of The Mikado, Pirates of Penzance, Princess Ida and Ruddigore.
The story, written by Fraser Charlton, follows a money-grabbing brother and sister who own a waxworks factory.
They convince a sorcerer to bring the waxworks to life to commit crimes such as burglary.
Expect familiar songs and the usual requited and unrequited love, love potions and long-lost relatives.
Wicked Waxworks opens at Bromyard's Conquest Theatre tonight and runs until Saturday, with shows at 7.30pm.
Tickets at £6, concessions £5, are available from the box office on 01885 488575.
The show then moves to the Norbury Theatre, in Droitwich, from Thursday, July 25 to Saturday, July 27. Tickets there are priced £7, concessions £6, from the box office on 01905 770154.
Also part of the fringe, Tewkesbury Water Festival is set to begin tomorrow. For more information on the traditional summer event call 01684 295027.
