A WEEKEND of events is taking place at a house in Broadway to raise money for charity.
Orchard Farm in Upper High Street is the venue for open gardens and a two-day fete to raise money for the Evesham and Pershore branch of Mencap, to help local people with learning disabilities.
The house has royal connections, as it once belonged to the Bowes-Lyon family. The Queen Mother was known to spend holidays there with her Aunt Maud, along with The Queen, who was then Princess Elizabeth, and Princess Margaret.
The event begins at 10am on Saturday, July 27, and ends at 5pm the following day. Cream teas will be available.
