A POPULAR outdoor showcase for live bands has returned to Kidderminster's Brinton Park for the summer.
The annual Bands in the Park series, organised by Wyre Forest District Council's event section, moves into its second weekend on Sunday with a performance by De Kelten Irish Band at the bandstand from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
A council spokesman said: "This year's programme sees a combination of old favourites and some new faces set to perform at the popular outdoor venue."
The Stourport Brass Band kicked off the season on Sunday.
Future attractions include The Bell Inn Brass Band, who will be in action on Sunday, July 28 while the first weekend in August sees a visit from the Steve Raymond Country and Western Band.
It's brass again on Sunday, August 11 courtesy of the Cleobury Mortimer's Muller Brass Band while Move It, "the south west's premier live 60s band", are in town a week later.
The season concludes on Sunday, August 25, when the Dutch Lewis Swing Band will be livening up the Bank Holiday weekend.
