A TWO-MONTH unbeaten run crashed to a halt as Stourport slumped to a seven-wicket drubbing by bogey side Worcester Nomads.
The home side chose to bat in Worcestershire Saturday League Division Two but were soon in trouble against superb seam bowling from Ian Jinks.
Ian Delo (26) and Neil Bailey (20) provided early resistance but yet again only Dave Cook looked capable of a big score.
When Cook fell for a spirited 44, the innings folded to an abject 125 all out with Jinks capturing 5-48.
Colin Buckle captured the prize scalp of Malcolm Jones with his first delivery but that was as good as it got for lack-lustre Stourport.
Acting captain Cook rotated his bowlers in search of a breakthrough but Nomads' second-wicket pair piled on the runs with embarrassing ease.
A wicket each at the death for Andy Platt and Buckle provided a bonus point but little comfort.
Stourport 125, Worcester Nomads 128-3.
The seconds also lost but their five-wicket reverse saw a more spirited performance.
Asked to bat first on a drying wicket, Stourport made 208-9 with major contributions from Eddie Giles (61), Steve Davis (37) and Martin Brewer (23).
Nomads' experienced batting line-up paced their reply to ease home with four overs left though Kevin Haycock took two wickets.
Stourport 2nds 208-9, Worcester Nomads 209-5.
