THE Queen's Jubilee Baton came to Worcester yesterday on its 30,000-mile trip around Britain and the Commonwealth.
Karen Styles, from Button Oak, near Bewdley, carried the baton over Worcester Bridge.
The baton is on its way to the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, where the Queen will read out the message contained inside next month.
In all, 5,000 people will carry the baton, which set off from London in March.
Ms Styles, a farmer, was chosen for her charitable work with the Bewdley Royal British Legion Women's Section, where she is branch secretary and standard bearer.
"I was quite surprised to be picked as there were thousands of applicants," said Ms Styles, aged 38.
