A WORCESTER school has been blowing its own trumpet with the help of a city organisation.
Dines Green Primary School is the proud owner of four new trumpets thanks to Worcester South Rotary Club.
The school, which has a strong musical tradition, received the instruments in a special hand-over ceremony during school assembly on Tuesday morning.
Worcester South Rotary club's president David Scott was there to give the instruments to the youngsters.
"We already had some trumpets of our own but we wanted to add to them - we felt we needed some more but just could not afford them as they cost a lot of money," said Ann Clayton, who is in charge of music at the 260-pupil school.
"The school has a good musical tradition but we want to develop it further - you can always improve."
