ON a sunny afternoon on July 7, and in spite of other attractions, including a Wimbledon final, Mick and Vera Martin were delighted to welcome so many of you to their colourful garden at Dowdings Brook Cottage. £240 was raised for St Michael's Hospice. They are grateful for your support. The next main fundraising for St Michael's will be their summer fete on Saturday, July 27 from 2-5pm in the hospice grounds. Stalls include tombola, bric-a-brac and cakes. Do bring family and friends for an enjoyable afternoon.
The Bosbury School leavers' gala took place at the parish hall on Wednesday, July 10. It was presented by Year 6 with the help of the whole school and it proved to be an excellent display of the talents of all the pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. The retiring collection was in support of the Church of England Children's Society and its work with children overseas. The school sports took place on Tuesday, July 16 with the glorious weather ensuring a most enjoyable afternoon.
